What is your style of photography? Relaxed, natural, fun and romantic! I like to see your wedding day run with as little interference from me as possible. With some of your prep photos and the location photos I do provide help with posing etc so that you don't feel awkward and unsure of what to do. As my aim is for your photos to look as natural as possible I have plenty of little tips and tricks to get those lovely natural, romantic photos. I have plenty of examples of my work on my website and blog, so please look through these carefully to make sure we are going to be the right fit. And look through my reviews too to see what other couples have had to say about my work. I want you to love your wedding photos - that’s the most important thing for me.
How many weddings have you photographed professionally? I’ve been lucky enough to photograph over 200 beautiful weddings.
Can I see some examples of your work? Have a look here on my website and also at https://pomegranatephoto.blogspot.com or arrange a meeting for us to get together and I can show you examples of wedding albums etc.
How many photos will we receive? This is dependant on a number of factors, including the package booked, locations and the weather but generally between 200 - 500 fully edited photos for the Simple and Classic packages.
Do you have a checklist of photos to get? Can I provide you with a checklist of compositions I want to get on the day? I don’t stick to a specific checklist as I like the day to flow naturally and not feel forced or overly 'posed'. I do ask a couple to make a list for the formal family portraits so that nobody is left out. I cover all the traditionally important aspects of your ceremony. I’m happy though for you to show me examples of particular poses you like, and for you to let me know if there’s anything special that you particularly want coverage of.
How much time should we allow between the ceremony and the reception for photographs? This will depend on travel times and locations, but 2 hours is a good ballpark figure. This should allow time for family photos and location photos with the bridal party. Try and ensure that your location photos coincide with the “golden hour” (the hour before sunset), and if possible don’t enter your reception until after sunset.
Would you like a meal to be provided at the reception? Yes, please! I don’t expect a full meal if I am providing coverage of your reception, but most reception venues provide a ‘suppliers’ meal for photographers, videographers, DJs etc at a reduced cost.
How long after my wedding can I expect to receive my photos? This depends on the season and how many weddings I have that month, but I aim to have your photos delivered to you within 4 weeks, although the time frame is usually about 2 weeks from the wedding day.
How are my photos delivered? Your photos (in high resolution files suitable for printing) are posted to you on a wooden usb in a keepsake box, along with a handful of beautiful 4” x 6” fine art prints.
How much editing of my photographs will you do? Every photo is carefully edited and colour corrected using Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom.
Do you do any additional kind of editing with other effects? I don’t generally use other effects when editing as I find these tend to date fairly quickly. I do some black and white edits, (generally suited to the more photojournalistic images) and I’m happy to turn any additional images to black and white if you wish.
Do you keep my wedding photos filed digitally? For how long? I keep the digital files backed up on a hard drive for at least five years. I have had two cases recently where couples have lost their original photos and they’ve been very relieved that I’ve been able to supply them with a full backup.
How do we book you? I require a $ 400 deposit/booking fee on booking to secure your wedding date, and for you to complete some paperwork, a Wedding Planner and the Wedding Agreement.
Is the deposit refundable? In the event of cancellation of the wedding the booking fee/deposit will be forfeited, to cover costs and the fact that other wedding enquiries for the day will have been turned down. In the case of a postponement of your wedding, although the deposit/booking fee is not refundable it may be transferrable to another date within 12 months, subject to my availability.
Can I make partial payments on the balance? If yes, what’s the payment plan? I’m happy to take partial payments on the balance whenever it’s convenient for you, as long as the balance is fully paid 2 weeks before your wedding day.
When is the final balance due? The final balance is due two weeks before the wedding day.
Do you take credit cards? Unfortunately I don’t have credit card facilities. Payments need to be made by bank transfer.
